Mr. Rodrigo R.U aka Trotter / Dj Soneca is one of the most prominent names of the Brazilian Downbeat scene. Apart from being the label owner of Royal Soul records he is a very energetic dj and event organizer. He has participated and helped organize more than 15 events and festivals.

His project Trotter is his venture into the production world of the downbeat stage. His first EP release with Timewarp Music is Faixa Preta. This will be a five track EP, with four original tracks and one remix from Quasamodo. This EP is a sneak preview of Trotter's first personal album, due to be released on our label in early 2009.

Faixa Preta is just appropriate for revealing the playful and hippy dance mood of this EP. Funky based attitude with a flirting groovy bass line and swinging guitars, driving this tune well to shake you on the dance floor.

We funk to dance is a very atmospheric lounge track, ideal for chill out sessions during the summertime. elements from disco, groove and funk are all combined giving a mellow yet uplifting result. the track is obviously telling a story, which is very melodic and full of trippy images.

Le magnifique is a sexy funk based tune with lots of Brazilian percussions. broken beats and jazzy atmosphere give a contemporary touch while the key melodies give a retro feeling.

Work hard feat Yubaba. Trotter meets Yubaba and they create an amazing soundtrack anthem. the sound is quite organic and unfolds in a tricky and nostalgic kind of way, mainly leaded by the beat and bass.

Le Magnifique (Quasamodo remix): Quasamodo, once again, puts his very special elegant touch to le magnifique. The result is a stylish lounge track with the necessary dirty sounds to create a Latin groovy vibe.
